Greetings true beleivers

With this blog I have decided to step on to the digital stage, though I am fairly confident that I will regret it if I ever choose to seek elected office. My friend, the Bear, says this political community is partly about looking at what politicians are really saying, and what is at the core of their message. In that vein, I have decided to name this blog in honor of one of my favorite Daniel Webster quotes. (Incidentally, it is from the same speech where Webster said that government is “made for the people, made by the people, and answerable to the people.” (Sound familiar? Abraham Lincoln “paraphrased” it in his more famous Gettysburg Address.)

I must warn readers that this blog is only for real patriots, true believers in the ideals of America and her Constitution. All citizens have the liberty to think and speak for themselves, but all stand in union under the same Constitution.  In spite of whatever discord this blog may cause, I truely believe in Daniel Webster’s exclamation of “Liberty and Union, One and Inseparable, Now and Forever!”

(I promise that posts to come will be more substantive, and less, well, whimsical.)
